We met Godwin Tom Sunday a few months ago when at the peak of the global COVID19 pandemic, we featured him in one of our Meet The Artist events. It is with with great pleasure that we welcome him again to showcase his artwork and help to facilitate an art workshop at and event organised by #ascendcharityuk,

Since the last time we saw him, Godwin has continued to produce engaging art as you can see below. He will be using one of his pieces as a theme for the creative session on 21st October, 2020, from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

For Godwin, art is a means of going deep into one’s innermost feelings and producing a visual representation of the mind. The artist must capture characters and stories, expressing and sharing his thoughts and technical ability. This time, he makes a case for artist integrity and self value.

Godwin works with oil paints and his patchwork stroke technique adds dimension to his normally very large canvases. His portrait characters are large, yet you can see into their souls through obscure figures whose figures can sometimes barely be made out.
